Urban Impact is a nonprofit organization that is mainly run by volunteers. We serve over 100 students on a weekly basis, so it takes a village to provide them with the best care possible. Our team would love for you to join us in mentorship, providing academic assistance, and being a helping hand that our students can rely on! Sponsor a Meal!
A major part of our mission is to help students who may be battling food insecurity at home, so we provide dinner to all of our students at every program that Urban Impact offers. Whether it be homemade lasagna, breakfast for dinner, or an order of cheese pizzas, our students love and appreciate every bite. Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
Kid Power
Join us in making an impact in the classroom! Our Kid Power Program matches volunteers with teachers at Claytor Academy to provide them with extra support during the day! Volunteers work one-on-one with students and assist teachers with daily tasks. A few hours a week can make a huge difference!
Primetime
Join our Christian mentorship program on Monday nights where we study a passage from the Bible, share a meal with our students, and create fun crafts!
XLR8
Join us after school! Come share a meal with our students, assist them in completing their homework, and play fun games on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights!
Revolution
Join us in mentoring high school students every Tuesday night! We discuss scripture, the joys and struggles of growing up, and provide guidance to students who are planning out their next steps after high school!
HOOPS
Join us for a fun game of basketball every Wednesday night with our high schoolers! It’s a great way to connect with students while having a laugh!

KID POWER
Our in-school tutoring program at Claytor Academy, typically 90 minute sessions between 10:00AM - 2:00 PM every weekday.
PRIMETIME & Primetime JR
Our Christian mentoring program on Monday nights from 5:30-7:30PM at Claytor Academy.
XLR8
Our homework help program led by Janet and Erica on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30PM at Claytor Academy.
Revolution
Our high school youth-based mentoring program every Tuesday night from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM at Claytor Academy.
High School Hoops
Our high school basketball program every Wednesday night from 7:30-9:00 PM at Claytor Academy.
Prayer Support
Just Pray! Please consider simply asking our God for His grace and blessings upon our community within PT. We also send out a monthly email with prayer requests. Please email tanja@urbanimpactct.org to recieve emails from us!

Volunteer With Us Next Summer!
Summer Enrichment: Join us this summer on Monday and Tuesday nights from 5:30-7:30pm at Geraldine Claytor Magnet Academy to mentor students! Our program offers educational sessions, positive character building sessions, recreational activities, and a warm dinner to the students of PT. Help us maintain our students’ academic progress during the summer break! We cannot wait to welcome you!
The Week of Hope: The second week of August from 5-7:30pm at Geraldine Claytor Magnet Academy! We need your help leading bible study, supervising arts and crafts, serving snacks, and running small-group activities!
Camp Spofford: Spend 6 days at sleep away camp in New Hampshire as a chaperone! This week of faith, fun, and learning changes student’s lives!
